NEWS FOR F-1 STUDENTS

On April 8th 2008, DHS published the interim final rule that changes several key aspects for F-1 optional practical training.  A new I-765 form has been issued (the old one is valid only until May 8th).  The 12 month OPT can now be extended for 17 months (for a total of 29 months) for certain STEM degree holders (Science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics) who are already on OPT employed by an E-Verify employer.  Please call ISSS for more details.
