ISSS seeks to:
- Ensure university compliance with applicable immigration-related regulations while facilitating the legal entry and transition of foreign students and scholars.
- Advocate on behalf of the foreign students and scholars both within the university and to federal regulatory agencies to ensure that they are afforded every opportunity to complete their educational objectives.
- Provide opportunities for intercultural education and exchange by providing educational and cultural programs that foster greater understanding and appreciation for other cultures and traditions.

On August 26th 2015, ISSS welcomed our new international students to our university in our annual Fall orientation. This year we have a dynamic set of new students ranging from many different backgrounds. As part of our international community at Catholic University of America, we want to welcome all new and continuing international students to a new academic year.
